Devil’s Hand Coral (Lobophytum sp.)

Despite its name, the Devil’s Hand Coral is one of the friendliest additions for reef keepers, especially beginners. This soft coral is hardy, fast-growing, and easy to propagate—making it perfect if you want a coral that thrives under a variety of conditions. Its unique “hand-like” branches add texture and movement, quickly becoming a showpiece in your tank.

It tolerates environments that many other corals would struggle with, including low light and higher nutrients. However, because it grows so rapidly and can release mild toxins, it’s best placed with space from neighbors and paired with carbon filtration.
